I have a Samsung TV which has a good picture but very disappointing sound quality. The TV does not have HDMI out or Bluetooth but does have an optical port which I used to connect to the soundbar with the optical cable included. Initially, with the soundbar underneath the television and less than 1 cm gap, I was getting some hissing, which I guessed was interference from the TV electrical system. By moving the TV higher and further back on the cabinet and the soundbar forward (so now a 4 cm gap between them) this cured the issue. The sound is very impressive, the vocals clear, and excellent reproduction of music played on the Spotify app. Exceeded my expectations.
