I found this product after some general research into CD players. The reviews were very good but the product has exceeded my expectations. It looks good (although I would have preferred a lighter wood finish than matt black – out of stock) but the sound is exceptional. I haven’t enjoyed my CD collection so much for many years. The equaliser allows me to vary the sound to suit whatever I am listening to. Also, the DAB+ radio is excellent; tuning is easy and, again sound reproduction is very good. Having owned the DAB500 for 1 week the only minor criticism I have is the CD tray. It works perfectly but doesn’t feel as robust as the rest of the product. I expect to be proved wrong.
I’m looking forward to many hours in my “man cave” alone with my books, my CDs and my DAB500.
As the price is so very reasonable I will probably buy another one for the house to share.

It looks, and sounds great. It has quality speakers in a quality cabinet. Also the equaliser certainly makes a difference, and is easy to change from one type of sound, to another. It has a headphone socket on the back, which was a must for me, also lots of volume, without distortion. I’m very pleased with this unit, it’s a bargain for the money, I would recommend it to anyone.
