Mrs Jean Smith –
Bought this yesterday from Argos as soon as I got hoke and opened it I was very impressed how it plays my dvds and cd’s.
Melvyn Harrison –
My previous DVD player only managed a 1½ hour film, whereas this one will do double that without a problem. There is a wide range of setup options available should you need them. Good quality picture and sound. I do not need to use the remote, but it is great that it is there if required. I do not allow the machine to run out of power before recharging it; I top it up after use. The manual is informative and thorough. Great that a British company designed and engineered the machine. This is a great product that I am going to enjoy using.
Old’un –
I have just set up my new Oakcastle 175 and my impressions are very favourable. It was obviously well-charged before I started since my first charge took only an hour and a quarter. There was absolutely no “machine noise” during playback; I part-played four DVDs of different ages and specifications and all were handled flawlessly. There was instant response to the clearly-marked remote and I was pleased with the quality and volume of the sound. No complaints about video reproduction! Normally I would wait quite a while before submitting a review, but I’m not particularly worried about problems down the line. My lack of concern about that is simply because of the three-year warranty!
