Great size screen which was the main reason I bought it. Sound excellent with headphones. I just have to figure out how to get a full screen picture. Not the machines fault at all. Something I’m doing wrong!

This product has a nice large screen. I was originally interested in buying the version of this product with the smaller screen, as the smaller version would light 930grams and would fit well inside my suitcase. I use a portable dvd when i work away from home for a night or two. But i thought i would check and found that the larger version, on the curry’s website, had the same weight specs as the larger. So i thought i might as well go for the larger version. However now i have the larger version, i found that it is much heavier than 930grams, which is not ideal.
The other problem i have with portable dvd players, is that the sound, when checking reviews is usually complained about by most reviewers. I have looked through the manual and this product claims to have a reasonable range of sound options, including: movies, speech and music.
I have played a movie on this (using the movie sound option) and found the sound to be passable but not great. At full volume i doubt it could fill a large room. I have had better sound from cheaper dvd players. I don’t believe in buying a new product and accepting the excuse: “Just use a pair of headphones” But still sound is passable.
All things considered i have decided to keep it as the large screen makes up for what it is missing from being ideal in terms of weight and sound.
