I have had this sort of thing from other suppliers before but none has worked as well and seamlessly as this one. It is simple to set up, seems well made and has, thus far, worked faultlessly, connecting with bluetooth very quickly. Highly recommended it and the company.

I bought the clear version of this CD player and while that perhaps makes it a little trickier to make out which button is which when looking face on (this becomes clearer by tilting the player a little), they’re easy enough controls to figure out and it’s really great to be able to see the electronics.
The skip protection was tested by the other half dancing around with the thing and was faultless.

I bought this CD player for a dementia patient. Finding a portable CD player easy enough to use for a dementia patient proved challenging, but the CD100 has a simple user interface and no batteries. It’s a nice CD player… the extra features (like the hidden Bluetooth function) are great (not that they’ll get used in my case!) and it’s very easy to use. There are two minor issues with the design though:
1. The On/Off/Hold switch is too easy to slide to the Hold position. Ideally, the Hold switch should be separate (like other CD players).
2. The headphone connector is a 3.5mm TRRS socket, designed to work with the supplied remote control. But this socket doesn’t work with headset (i.e. headphones with a microphone) connectors unless you have the remote plugged in. My father has an expensive Sennheiser headset, which includes a microphone, so it uses a TRRS connector; the CD player thinks that we’re connecting the remote control, and then none of the buttons on the front panel work! I’ve had to source a new cable for his headphones, which only has a TRS connector (i.e. standard stereo), to stop the CD player thinking a remote has been plugged in. Connecting the remote control is not an option in my case… it just causes confusion!
