The player is exactly what you’re after if you’re looking for something to play CDs through a set of headphones without any extra bits that deduct from the main function of a CD player, which is to play CDs. No bluetooth, no radio, it just does what it’s meant to, and does it the way you remember it, it plays CDs with the added benefit of being slightly better at it than the CD players of yore (the early 2000s). It comes with a headphone controller attachment, which you can attach any pair of 3.5 aux headphones into. Whether there’s a quality loss through this attachment I can’t say as CD players don’t output very high quality to begin with. Even with headphones that go beyond the standard range of 20-20,000hz frequency response, that’s all you’re going to get from this laser. That said, the actual headphones that come with it absolutely necessitate having your own. They certainly…play sound, and maybe in a weird way a bit nostalgically seeing as though the quality really reminisces of the type of cheap headphones I’d have to settle for from the pound shop when I couldn’t afford anything else back when I would use what I only had access to, and make the most of it. But now even better headphones come very affordable, so I recommend not relying on the included.

Great cd player for the price with extended warranty too. Well made and ethically packaged too. Well done Oakcastle. I bought it to play a hypnosis cd I had got to relax and it’s compact enough for my bedside..sound quality is good too.
Also, if you it’s great that you can use via USB. Very very pleased.
